Life’s Work: Chapter 11

Life’s Work: Chapter 11 – The Way of Love

There is more to add to the story of the laptops and external hard drive. In making a report to the local police station, a detailed description had to be given to identify the items if they were located. Kazim did share about his faith in God through all this. This is when the police woman who assisted in making out the report shared this Scripture: “The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness.” John 10:10

Well, the police woman and Kazim became friendly, and after more sharing, Kazim was asked to pray for a lady who was being held in a prison cell, which he did. On a subsequent visit to the police station, to inquire on the progress of his case, Kazim was again asked to pray for another woman in tears because of her being confined to a prison cell. God was using Kazim under the circumstances.

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God–those whom he has called according to his plan.” Romans 8:28

So Kazim continued his visit in the Seychelles without his computer devices being located. He prayed ceaselessly as he always do. He kept his faith strong, all the while listening to God for His plans for him going forward. Kazim would eventually get married in a very simple ceremony, cause he does not like outward show. He lives very simply, caring for others, and is very content with little, and makes do with what God blesses him. He is more concerned about others, about looking for ways to make life better for others. In doing so, he has found happiness – the Joy of the Lord. This is his outlook on life. And others around him, may not know the humbleness of his heart. For he realizes people are so happy already, they concern themselves with the ‘trappings’ of life. They may not realize how blessed they are, with what they already have. And should a sudden misfortune take place in their lives, a lot of their present concerns would become insignificant. They will come to realize how truly blessed they really are. And in situations, like unrest, natural disasters, misfortunes, people see life from a whole different perspective. They come together, rallying together as one, they bond, they support one another like never before. Sometimes this is what it takes to bring people to their senses, to jar their thinking, to realize life is not about things, but loving people.

1 Corinthians 13
The Way of Love

13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36

“Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:20

Kazim and Angela on their wedding day in the Seychelles

“A good wife is a generous gift bestowed upon him who fears the Lord.” Sirach 26:3

Kazim feels truly blessed to have Angela in his life. For when he was at his lowest, and trying to recover from the stroke, he suffered many ailments for months. Angela took care of him, when he had nothing to give. She showed her love for him. And Kazim, while being nursed back to health (even now), supported Angela for she had lost her mom to cancer during this time period.

Seychelles Pet Haven Society 6 by Kazim Abasali – The Empowering ARTist.Francoise Gendron-Manley took Kazim and Angela on her daily evening route of feeding stray cats and dogs.

Before departing Seychelles, Kazim went on a tour with Francoise Gendron-Manley and filmed her daily work of searching for abandoned pets on the island of Mahe, Seychelles. Again, the non-profit foundation for Seychelles Pet Haven Society has a bank account to receive international donations for their much needed operations. Any donations will go towards purchase of food and medication for these once homeless pets all over the island. Sincere thanks and appreciation for your support, for it makes a huge difference.

Kazim returns to Sweden in September, 2013

So, Kazim left Seychelles in early September, 2013 and returned to Sweden, via Dubai. On his short stay over in Dubai, he took the opportunity to do some sight-seeing and to purchase a laptop to continue doing his work as he loves doing.

Once in Nynashamn, Sweden, Kazim met again with Evangelist Tobias Silva Tahvanainen through his Mission Gate Outreach which serves the community by seeking out the homeless and tending to their needs.

This blog that Kazim is using to do God’s work, was started while in Seychelles. However, with the loss of Kazim’s laptops and external hard drive, there was a stop to proceedings, as Kazim did not have the equipment to continue. God had begun a good work (God’s work), now God will go on to ‘perfect it’.

“For of this I am confident, that He who has begun a good work within you will go on to perfect it in preparation for the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

So, updates will be ongoing on this blog. “Sharing Awareness of an Universal Eco-Civilization Consciousness, for We are United Together by the Life Force of Our Earth Home We Depend on for Sustainability”.

Kazim continues reaching out to ‘the least of these my brothers and sisters’:

Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?”

The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:37-40
